What is Eyeshadow Foiling in Makeup?
The hot and humid weather does make it tough for people to maintain a long-lasting eye makeup look. But with eyeshadow foiling, it’s become easy to ensure a smudge-free makeup look.
Eyeshadow foiling is a process in which powder or metallic eyeshadow pigment is mixed using powder or setting spray. It will help intensify the pigment of eyeshadow and prevent smudging, fading and creasing due to sweat and oil. This can be a great technique to intensify the eyeshadow colour and make it long-lasting.
Mixing your powder and metallic eyeshadow with primer or setting spray will change the consistency and make it creamy or thicker, allowing it to stick to your eyes better. Allow the shadow to sit properly on your eyelids without creasing or falling out.
Procedure
- Apply primer on your eyelid to prepare a base for eyeshadow.
- Take your eyeshadow, brush and setting spray to make your shadow long-lasting. First spread some metallic eyeshadow on your upper and lower eyelid. Then take your eyeshadow brush and have some setting spray on it.
- Using a wet brush, take eyeshadow shade and apply it on your lid.
- Apply colour perfectly all over the lid and blend them completely.
- Lastly, apply eyeliner and eyeshadow to achieve a foil eyeshadow look.
