Blush is an important makeup product used on cheeks to make them appear more beautiful and noticeable. But it is challenging to use blush perfectly on your face, according to the skin tone, blush shade, etc. For the right application, use the right techniques and colour that matches your skin tone. Here we have some tips, which help you in applying blush smoothly.

Start from the Basic 

• Apply your base before the application of blush. For a better result, use a beauty blender or brush. Apply your base products like foundation, concealer and powder, and then go for blush.
• Use a fluffy brush to apply powder blush and tap it to remove any excess. Then apply it on your cheekbones and blend it perfectly using a clean brush.
• Use your fingertips for the application of liquid blush. Dot the liquid blush using your fingertips on your face and then blend it using a beauty blender.
• Remove excess blush using a tissue.

Apply Blush to Compliment Your Face Shape 

• If you have a heart-shaped face, apply blush in a “C” shape using a brush.
• People with round shape face should avoid the apple of their checks and apply blush underneath their cheekbone
• If you have a more oval face, apply blush from the cheekbone to the temple
• For the square face, applying blush in a circular motion is advised

Be Mindful Before Choosing a Blush 

• People with fair skin should choose a pink, peach or sheer plum colour for a more natural look.
• If you have a medium skin-tone, choose an apricot or mauve colour for a subtle warming effect.
• Choose rose or bronze-colour blush, if you have olive skin, for a bright look.
• If you have a dark complexion, choose raisin, brick or bright tangerine blush.
