Several people with acne-prone skin raise questions about makeup. One of which is how they use foundation on their face evenly. With some minimal efforts and tricks, you can apply foundation over acne perfectly.

Prep Your Face

Before applying any makeup product on your face, take some care of it. Take a good exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells. Do all processes gently using natural products as chemicals can make your acne worse. Clean your skin and hydrate it using a moisturiser.

Apply a Colour Corrector 

Take a colour corrector to cover your blemishes. If you have fresh pimples then use a green colour corrector over it. Blend using a brush until the red colour converts into grey or green. Moreover, on the older blemishes, apply an orange colour corrector and blend them.

Use Foundation Correctly 

Once you are done with the colour corrector, take your foundation and apply it on your face using a stippling process. This process allows the foundation to make a thin layer over your colour corrector.

Avoid Using Powder Products

Rather than using powder products, apply setting spray to avoid dryness and flaky skin.
