How is Self-tanning Agent Applied?
Self-tanner is the product used for achieving artificial suntan on the skin. It involves some steps by which you can get even coverage and longer-lasting results.
Exfoliate Your Skin
You can use a washcloth or scrub to exfoliate your skin. Give more time to the thickest areas on your skin like knees, elbows and ankles.
Dry Your Skin
Dry your skin before applying self-tanning as it absorbs in your skin.
Apply in Sections
Don’t apply it on your body at once, go in sections like arms, legs and back. Apply self-tanner on your skin in a circular motion.
Wash Your Hands After Each Section
If you want to avoid that colour not coming on your palm then wash your hands after each section you complete.
Be Natural on Your Wrists and Ankles
Blend self-tanner on the wrist of your hands and ankles of your feet for a natural look.
Be Mindful of Joints
Joint areas like elbows and knees absorb more product, so dilute it using a damp towel or lotion.
Give Some Time to Dry Your Skin
After applying a self-tanning product, wait for 10 minutes and wear some loose clothes for at least three hours.
Don’t Forget Applying Sunscreen
Use sunscreen every day even if you are using a self-tanner. Take sunscreen of at least 30 SPF for more protection.
