What are the Top Tips to Remember When Applying Self Tan?
If you want to make your skin colour dark, consider using a tanner yourself. Try these tips and tricks to protect your skin from any sensitive reaction.
Exfoliate Your Skin
Use an exfoliator or washcloth to exfoliate your skin before using a tanner. It helps you remove dead skin cells. Make some effort on your thickest skin areas like ankles, elbows and knees.
Dry Your Skin
After exfoliation, don’t forget to pat dry your skin using a clean cloth or towel.
Use in Section
Apply tanner on your skin section-by-section and massage it in a circular motion.
Clean Your Hand After Each Section
If you want to avoid orange hands after self-tan, try to wash your hands after each section using soap or water.
Blend at Your Wrist and Ankle
For a natural finish, extend your tanner from your wrist to your hand and ankle to your feet.
Dilute Over Your Joints
Apply tanner on your joints and dilute it as these areas absorb more and give you a darker shade.
Let Your Skin Dry
After applying the tanner, wait at least 10 minutes before getting dressed. Wear loose clothes for 3 hours or more for better results.
